Resilient Parents

Become a more empowered parent.

Parenting is harder than ever than ever before with information overwhelm and technology infiltrating our children’s lives.

My goal is to empower you with knowledge and tools to navigate the complexities of raising adolescents in today’s world. From fostering emotional resilience to guiding their social media use, helping you to feel more equipped throughout your child’s journey.

Raising Resilient Teens

Join me at my parents talk on 4th Feb 2025 at Rengen House, Bath. I will dive into key themes from the parent chapter of my book, Resilient Teen, offering practical advice and strategies to help you navigate the complexities of raising adolescents in today’s world.

From fostering emotional resilience to managing communication challenges, this talk will leave you feeling empowered and better equipped to support your adolescent’s journey.

This book will empower your child to become a more resilient teen. Both adolescents and their parents can read it.

Your adolescent may be struggling with stress, anxiety, anger, and/or low self-esteem. Or they may be facing specific challenges such as bullying, school stress, or parental divorce. This book covers multiple topics. The reader can skip to a relevant chapter or choose to read the whole book.

Nicola struggled with anxiety as a teen linked to bullying, parental divorce, school pressure, and friendship issues. With excerpts from her own personal diary and numerous techniques, this book empowers the reader with greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-esteem.

The parent chapter includes tips on becoming your child’s secure home base, listening skills, reconnecting with your child, helping your child to navigate social media use and more.

Free meditations accompany this book which can be accessed via the free app, Insight Timer.

“Nicola’s book is a personal, heartfelt and passionate account of the benefits of mindfulness and kindness for an age group who need this support enormously, written in a really accessible way.”
